This is a picture of a bird that
adapted throughout its generations. You can see the bird adapted with the
bright feathers.
Summary: All animals live in
habitats. Habitats provide food, water, and shelter which animals need to
survive, but there is more to survival than just the habitat. Animals also
depend on their physical features to help them obtain food, keep safe, build
homes, withstand weather, and attract mates. These physical features are called
called physical adaptations. Physical adaptations do not develop during an
animal's life but over many generations. The shape of a bird's beak, the number
of fingers, color of the fur, the thickness or thinness of the fur, the shape
of the nose or ears are all examples of physical adaptations which help
different animals to survive.Reflection/Opinion:
I don't understand how animals are able to adapt. It is an odd thing because animals can adapt to their surroundings. I wonder how their bodies know to do this so they can survive better or be able to do this to eat. The physical adaptations has become nice designs or as i saw in another photo a bug with a face on it.

ReplyDeleteI agree with you Zach I don't totally understand how the bird can just adapt over generations. It is pretty amazing how the animals are smart enough to realize that if you adapt to your surroundings than you have a better chance to survive. Like we learned in class how the bugs have faces on their bodies for protection. It almost seems as if insects and animals are actually smarter than the average human. Physical adaptations are interesting and it is cool to see how anamials chand over time.

I think that adaptations are neccessary for the survival of the animal because the adaptation is helping them hide,get access to food and just help them survive. Without adaptating to your surroundings you will not live ever long.Adaptations are for the animal to live longer and help them out.

DeleteI think that it is truely remarkable how animals know how to change their body in order to survive. I dont understand how all this happens because all animals change with their environment.I also agree with austin because having faces on their body is veryn smart because they have learned over time that many animals are scared of things that resemble humans. If animals every stop adapting, it can cause them to die out and ecosystems could start to fall apart.

The bird in the picture has bright feathers to signify that it is poisionous. Even though it may not be, it has allowed the bird to have less predators.
My dad used to say that animals and organisms are smarter than humans when it comes to surviving. and it makes sense now because all kinds of organisms have been on earth before humans, and they know how to survive and what to do in order too. Humans haven't really adapted phsyically as much as technologically.

ReplyDeleteI agree that is it amazing how animals learn to adapt. I find it fascinating that they are able to blend in with the color of thier surroundings over time. It is incredible that animals have this amazing ability and in a way, animals are smarter than humans
